"All the adversity I've had in my life. All of the troubles and obstacles, have strengthened me...You may not realize it when it happens, but a kick in the teeth may be the best thing in the world for you" - Walt Disney

"I've learned that a kick in the teeth is only Act 1" - Miss Christine

Meet the Inspiration and Founder

Rhythm Academy was established with the vision of providing a supportive environment where aspiring dancers can develop their skills and creativity. Our founder, Miss Christine, has extensive experience in competitive dance, bringing a wealth of knowledge to our program. With a background in ballet, jazz, lyrical, acro, and gymnastics, and her passion for tap, she is committed to helping students reach their full potential. Her dedication to dance and student growth makes Rhythm Academy an ideal place to discover the joy of movement.

Miss Christine graduated with high honors from the Joan Palladino School of Dance at Dean College, achieving four semesters on the Dean's List. At Dean College, she was initiated into Phi Theta Kappa and recognized as a student leader. She participated in the Dean College Dance Team and spent many weekends attending master classes in New York City, where she honed her auditioning skills. Before graduation, she performed freelance performances with Bob Thomas Productions and Mohegan Sun Entertainment.

Following graduation, Miss Christine joined Walt Disney World Entertainment and embraced various performance opportunities on the international stage. Notable roles included The Festival of the Lion King at Disney's Animal Kingdom, SpectroMagic Parade at Disney's Magic Kingdom, stilt performer for special events across Orlando Disney property, opening cast for MGM Holly-Days Parade, opening cast for Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade at Disney's Animal Kingdom, and the inaugural year of Magic Kingdom Town Square tree lighting ceremony and show. Her television appearances included the 2004 Disney's Christmas Day Parade, The Wayne Brady Show, and ABC's The View live from Walt Disney World.

Upon returning to Massachusetts, Miss Christine trained and competed in ballroom with the Arthur Murray Studio franchise for three years, earning her certification for ballroom instruction through level three. Missing the creative dance world, she performed in productions such as RENT and HAIRSPRAY The Musical at the Orpheum Theatre. Between 2009 and 2012, she focused on theatrical direction at Deerfield Academy in Westwood, serving as director and choreographer for the school's drama program. She wrote two original scripts performed by the program and served as choreographer for Bay Colony Performing Arts Youth Academy in Foxboro, MA for two seasons. in 2010 she began teaching recreational classes and competitive coaching at Bridget's Dance Studio in Braintree, producing some of her best work over sixteen seasons.

Now, Miss Christine fulfills a longstanding aspiration with the formation of Rhythm Academy. This initiative combines her love for dancing with her desire to accommodate youth whose busy schedules may hinder regular dance class attendance. Rhythm Academy aims to maximize dancers' training time and cultivate their artistic abilities without the pressure of comparison and competition. While we may participate in competitions, our focus remains on creative expression. Dancers are encouraged to explore individual creativity and collaborate with classmates to foster a cohesive unit of artistry, compassion, and love.
